Hétomesnil is a French municipality with 312 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

Wind farm

The rural community is located on a flat plateau around eight kilometers southeast of Grandvilliers and four and a half kilometers northwest of Crèvecœur-le-Grand . A wind farm is located in the north of the municipality.

history

The Ferme-École at the beginning of the 20th century

The manorial estate (later Ferme Vasselle) became a training center (ferme-école) in 1865. It now houses the Musée conservatoire de la vie agricole et rurale de l'Oise. During the First World War , the flight unit Escadrille des Cicognes, which included outstanding fighter pilots, maintained an airfield.
