Sommereux is a French municipality with 482 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

The agricultural community is located around four kilometers east of Grandvilliers on the road to Conty .
history
Until the abolition of the order in 1312, Sommereux was the seat of a Templar Commandery (Commanderie de Saint-Barnabé), which then passed to the Order of St. John . Most of the buildings were destroyed in the Hundred Years War .
The municipality of Laverrière was united with Sommereux from 1827 to 1833.
