The village is located on the old royal road from Pontoise to Beauvais . Small wooded hills surround the village with an area of ​​443 hectares, of which 25 hectares are forest.

history

The village was founded around 1195 as a result of an agreement between the French King Philippe Auguste and the abbot of the Saint Mellon monastery of Pontoise . The agreement included the clearing of part of the Hénonville forest to build a village there.
