Church of the Assumption

Offoy is a French municipality with 117 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

geography

The municipality of Offoy, which drains through the Vallèe d'Offoy valley (with outflow to the Parquets stream and thus to the Évoissons ), is located on the border with the municipality of Thoix ( Somme department ) around ten kilometers east-northeast of Grandvilliers .

history

One of the two castles in the village was destroyed in a jacquérie in the 14th century, the other later demolished. In 1858 the branch church was built. The community received as an award of the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.
