Goincourt is a French commune with 1,390 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Beauvais and the Canton of Beauvais-2 .
geography
The municipality is located west of Beauvais , around 60 kilometers northwest of Paris . Neighboring municipalities of Goincourt are:
- Beauvais in the east,
- Aux Marais in the south,
- Rainvillers in the southwest,
- Saint-Paul to the west and
- Le Mont-Saint-Adrien in the northwest.
The place itself is on the left bank of the Avelon River , which flows into the Thérain in Beauvais .
The municipal area is crossed by the national road 31 (Beauvais - Rouen ) and the departmental road 981 (Beauvais - Gisors ), with a rail connection in Beauvais.
