The Avelon is a river in France that runs in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the Pays de Bray landscape , on the municipal boundary of Villembray and Senantes , generally drains in a south-easterly direction and, after 23 kilometers, flows into the Thérain as a right tributary in the urban area of Beauvais .

The right tributaries of the Avelon are the Ruisseau de Raques (4.5 km) in the commune of Blacourt , Ruisseau du Moulinet in the commune of Saint-Paul and Ru d'Auneuil in the commune of Rainvillers ; the left tributaries are the Ru d'Evaux (6 , 2 km) in the municipality of Lachapelle-aux-Pots and the Ru de Boyauval in Saint-Paul .
