Saint Martin Church

Amblainville is a French commune with 1,740 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes des Sablons and the canton of Méru .

geography

The municipality, located almost entirely south of the A16 autoroute (with a toll booth in the municipality), is around four kilometers south of Méru on the edge of the Vexin countryside . The districts of Sandricourt, Saint-Claude, Vignoru and Fays aux Ânes belong to Amblainville .

economy

In the past, mother-of-pearl processing was important alongside agriculture.
