Marseille-en-Beauvaisis is a French commune with 1,482 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais , is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

The municipality is located on the Petit Thérain , into which the Herboval stream flows, and at the intersection of the departmental roads D901 (formerly Route nationale 1 ) and D930 (formerly Route nationale 30 ) and the railway line from Aumale (Seine- Maritime) to Beauvais around twelve kilometers southeast of Songeons around 18 kilometers north-northwest of Beauvais. It has a train station (halt).

history

The fortified place had the three gates Porte Saint-Maur in the north, Porte Saintes-Hosties in the west and Porte Saint-Michel in the south. In 1830 the Moulin de Taussac mill was incorporated into the Roy-Boissy municipality . The municipality has had the suffix en-Beauvaisis since 1908. The castle from 1680 was demolished in 1980.

The place was bombed during World War II.
