Jouy-sous-Thelle is a French commune with 1,028 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes du Vexin Thelle and the canton of Chaumont-en-Vexin .
geography
The community with the districts of Bien Assise, Les Horgnes and Jouy-le-Bois is around eight kilometers south of Auneuil . It was served from 1905 to 1934 by a meter-gauge secondary railway from Méru to Labosse .
history
Aerial photographs have revealed traces of a Gallo-Roman theater.
The castle and the mill are no longer preserved today.
