Sarcus is a French municipality with 265 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Beauvais and the Canton of Grandvilliers .

The districts of Sarcus are: La Basse-Bucaille and La Haute-Bucaille, Grasse and Haleine in the west (partially), La Chaussée, Le Moulin de Sarnois, Le Petit-Sarcus, Le Moulin-Taillefer (now abandoned), La Viefville or Viéville (Cemetery) as well as Hayon and Le Wallon in the southeast.

Originally, Sarcus was located around a wooden moth in the La Viefville district. At the end of the 12th century, the wooden structure was replaced by a stone structure less than a kilometer away, and the place was relocated to its current location. The old location has since been called La Viefville = vieille ville (old town).
