Haute-Épine is a French municipality with 272 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

geography

The street village is located on the plateau on the D72 department road, which is crossed by the D930 department road (former Route nationale 30 ) on the northern edge of the village , around five kilometers east of Marseille-en-Beauvaisis . The municipality includes part of the Forêt Domaniale de Malmifait state forest .

history

The Woimaison farm, of which there are still small remains in the corridor, was donated to the Beaupré monastery in Achy in 1140 . The community owned a lime kiln, a brick factory and a windmill.
