Saint-Omer-en-Chaussee is a French commune with 1,249 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Beauvais and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Picardie Verte and the canton of Grandvilliers .

The industrialized community is located on the Petit Thérain , into which the Herperie brook flows, around six kilometers southeast of Marseille-en-Beauvaisis on the former Route nationale 1 . It is traversed by the railway line from Beauvais to Le Tréport , from which the railway line to Amiens , which has been closed since the late 1980s but has been preserved as an industrial track as far as Crèvecœur-le-Grand , branches off. The districts of Villepoix, Belloy (with a large rehabilitation center) and Monceaux belong to the municipality, which has a train station (now a stop).
