Richard Wilhelm (politician)
Richard Wilhelm (born July 3, 1962 in Dornbirn ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2013 to 2015 he was a member of the Austrian Federal Council sent by the Styrian Landtag .
Life
Richard Wilhelm completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith at Voestalpine from 1977 to 1980 and in 1988 he became a driving school teacher . He continued his education at the trade union school and the Otto Möbes Academy. Since 2000 he has been chairman of the central works council.
In 1979 he joined the SPÖ. On March 11, 2013, Wilhelm was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council sent by the Styrian state parliament. After the state elections in Styria in 2015 and the resulting reappointment of Federal Council members, Richard Wilhelm resigned from the Federal Council on June 15, 2015.
