Valentina Mikhailovna Leontieva
Valentina Michailowna Leontjewa ( Russian Валентина Михайловна Леонтьева ; born August 1, 1923 in Petrograd , USSR , † May 20, 2007 in Novosjolki , Ulyanovsk Oblast , Russia ) was one of the first female television presenters in the USSR .
Live and act
Since 1954, Valentina Leontjewa has worked as a presenter for Soviet television, especially for children's programs, e.g. B. W gostjach u skaski ( Guest of fairy tales ). Through this broadcast, she became generally known as Aunt Valya ( Russian Тётя Валя ). Her rising fame led to her being awarded the State Prize of the USSR in 1975 and the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1982. To date, she is the only television presenter to receive this award. She worked on the First Program of Soviet Television until she retired in 1991 . Most recently she lived with her sister in an old people's home in Ulyanovsk Oblast .
