Walentyna Kosyr
Walentyna Kozyr ( Ukrainian Валентина Козир , Eng. Transcription Valentyna Kozyr, Russian Валентина Васильевна Козырь - Valentina Vasilyevna Kozyr - Valentina Kozyr, married Авілова - Awilowa - Avilova * 25. April 1950 in Czernowitz ) is a former Ukrainian high jumper , which for the Soviet Union started.
In 1966 she was the junior vice European champion. At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, she won the bronze medal with her personal best of (1.80 m) behind Milena Rezková from Czechoslovakia (1.82 m) and her compatriot Antonina Okorokowa (1.80 m).
Walentyna Kosyr is married to the decathlete Mykola Awilow .
