The Wallonie-Bruxelles International Agency ( WBI ) is a public administration body responsible for representing the international relations of the Belgian constituent states, the French Community and the Walloon Region, and the French Community Commission of the Brussels-Capital Region . It is the successor organization of the Directorate for International Relations of the Walloon Region and the General Commissioner for International Relations of the French Community and was created as a sub-project of a program that aims to dovetail the administrations of the two French-speaking member states more closely in Belgian federalism based on the Flemish model. The headquarters of the WBI is in Brussels, the capital of the French Community of Belgium.

Foreign missions

As part of the Belgian Diplomatic Corps, the WBI maintains missions abroad that are located at the respective Belgian embassies and consulates . Such foreign representations exist in: Algiers, Berlin , Bucharest, Dakar, Geneva, Hanoi, Kinshasa, The Hague, Paris, Beijing, Prague, Québec, Rabat, Santiago de Chile, Tunis, Warsaw and Brussels (representation to the European Union ). The WBI has cooperation agreements with around 70 countries and regions.
