Walo II of Veckenstedt

Walo II of Veckenstedt , the younger (* around 1065, † 1126 ) was Lord of Veckenstedt .

His parents were Walo I. von Veckenstedt and Frederun von Wipra.

He married Gisela von Ammensleben, a daughter of Dietrich II von Ammensleben . Their daughter is Frederun von Veckenstedt.

After the death of the Count Palatine Friedrich IV. In June 1125, he rejected Gisela and married the widow Agnes.

The following year, at the wedding of Werner II von Veltheim (a grandson of Adalgot von Veltheim ), who was related to Gisela, he was stabbed to death by the groom in revenge.

His daughter Frederun von Veckenstedt married Bernhard II von Wassel , the father of Konrad II von Wassel .
