Walter Blender

Walter Blender (* 1963 ) is the chairman of the regional association of Jewish communities in Schleswig-Holstein .

Blender has been chairman of the Jewish community in Bad Segeberg since 2002 . In the same year he co-founded the regional association of Jewish communities in Schleswig-Holstein, the first post-war Jewish association in Schleswig-Holstein. He is also its first chairman. As chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association, he is a member of the board of directors of the Central Council of Jews in Germany . Thanks to his initiative, the first synagogue in northern Germany after the Shoah was inaugurated in 2007 . In 2009 he was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon for his commitment .

Blender is an officer in the criminal police in Schleswig-Holstein .
