Walter Gatt

Walter Gatt (born February 24, 1963 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian politician (formerly FPÖ ). Gatt has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament since 2008 .

Gatt attended elementary school in Mils from 1969 to 1973 and then from 1973 to 1977 the Schönegg secondary school in Hall in Tirol. Between 1977 and 1982 Gatt graduated from the commercial academy and in 1983 he passed the Matura . Subsequently, he worked for the Creditanstalt-Bankverein from 1983 to 1989, then worked for the Wiener Allianz from 1989 to 1995 and has been a regional music school teacher since 1995. In addition, Gatt is also professionally active as a musician.

Gatt has been a member of the Mils parish council since 1988 and was elected as FPÖ district party chairman for Innsbruck-Land in 2005. He has represented the FPÖ in the Tyrolean state parliament since July 1, 2008. On April 30, 2010, Gatt was expelled from the FPÖ together with four other Tyrolean FPÖ politicians because of an alleged attempted coup against the Tyrolean FPÖ leader Gerald Hauser .
