Walter Laki (born May 29, 1951 in Moschendorf ) is an Austrian politician ( FRANK ). From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

Life

Laki attended elementary and secondary school as well as a higher technical college (HTL) before he received his doctorate in economics. From 1970 to 1974 he worked as the vice-president of the Austrian young workers' movement, then from 1979 to 1983 in the ORF general directorate and then from 1983 to 2011 as an auditor in the audit office. He is the bearer of the Great Medal of Honor of Burgenland and was sworn in on April 24, 2013 as a member of the Stronach team as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament. He also took over the office of club chairman within the Landtag club of the Stronach team. After an internal dispute about the approval of the state budget, Ernest Gabmann junior replaced him on June 19, 2013 as club chairman.

In June 2016 he was nominated by the Stronach team for the post of President of the Court of Auditors .

After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2018 , he left the state parliament.
