Walter Schöpsdau

Walter Schöpsdau (born November 2, 1940 in St. Ingbert ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Schöpsdau was born as the son of the tax councilor Helmut Schöpsdau. From 1959 to 1961 he studied Protestant theology at the University of Tübingen and from 1961 to 1963 Protestant theology at the University of Heidelberg . In spring 1964 he passed the first theological exam at the Protestant regional church council of the Palatinate in Speyer . With the work , the evidence of God in the myth: Schelling's later philosophy and theology , he received his doctorate in 1972 at the University of Mainz Dr. theol. He is pastor of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate and from 1981 to 2005 was a consultant for moral and pastoral theology at the denominational institute of the Evangelical Federation in Bensheim .

As a speaker at the denominational institute, he edited several publications in the Bensheimer Hefte series .
