Walter Schindel

Walter Schindel (* 29. August 1930 in Luck, † 21st October 1991 ) was a German politician of the SPD and from 1990 until his death in 1991 a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After attending secondary school, Schindel began studying metal science at the Bergakademie Freiberg, where he did his doctorate. He then worked in the research area in the field of ferrous materials.

Political party

In October 1989 he joined the Social Democratic Party in the GDR (SDP).

MP

Schindel was a member of the state parliament for the first electoral term . He moved into parliament via the SPD state list. After his death in 1991, Hermann Quien replaced him.
