Walter Schmid is a former German soccer player for FC Bayern Munich .

Career

Schmid was active as a striker for FC Bayern Munich in the 1949/50 season and scored three goals in seven league games in the Oberliga Süd , the highest German division at the time. He made his debut on September 3, 1949 (1st matchday) in the 2: 3 defeat in the home game against SpVgg Fürth . After he scored his first goal in the league on September 11, 1949 (2nd match day) in the 2: 4 defeat in the away game against Kickers Offenbach with the goal to 1: 4 in the 68th minute, he scored on 25. September 1949 (3rd matchday) in the 3-2 victory in the stadium on Grünwalder Straße against VfR Mannheim , with the goals for 1: 1 and 2: 1 within one minute, two goals in one game.
