Walter Volkert (born September 21, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Volkert already played in the youth of Hamburger SV . He made his Bundesliga debut with Hamburg in the 1970/71 season . On the 29th matchday he was substituted on for Robert Pötzschke for the last 17th minutes of the game . The game was won 2-1 in front of a home crowd. He was also allowed to play in the UEFA Cup once. He came on as a substitute in the 7-1 win against La Gantoise Gent and scored the 7-0 in the 84th minute. Then he did not get a chance and moved to HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst for the following season .
