Walter de Souza Goulart , (born July 17, 1912 in Rio de Janeiro , † November 13, 1951 ibid), was a Brazilian national football goalkeeper .

career

Walter played for various clubs in Brazil. For the national soccer team of Brazil, he played three international matches at the 1938 World Cup .

A specialty was a penalty kick in the semi-finals of the 1938 World Cup . When Italy's shooter Giuseppe Meazza took the penalty kick, the elastic of his pants tore. He held his trousers with his left hand while the penalty was being taken. Walter was so confused that he didn't react at all.
