Walther Bresges

Walther Adam Bresges (born May 20, 1882 in Odenkirchen ; † 1961 ) was a German entrepreneur in the textile industry.

Life

Bresges was a son of the entrepreneur Ernst Bresges and his wife Marie Bresges geb. Croon. After attending high school and a technical college, he gained practical knowledge of the textile industry in Great Britain. In 1905 he joined his parents' cotton spinning mill A. Bresges, which was merged with other companies to form Vereinigte Spinnereien AG in 1922 . Bresges became director and board member.

He was a member of the Gladbach Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a board member of the employers' association of the German textile industry. In Zoppenbroich he had a thoroughbred stud. Since 1901 he was a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn .
