Waltraud Grassl is a former luge competitor of German nationality who started for Czechoslovakia .

The Sudeten German Waltraud Grassl won the silver medals in both 1938 and 1939 at the European Luge Championships in Salzburg and Reichenberg behind Friedel Tietze and ahead of Hanni Fink . The Second World War , which broke out in 1939, prevented another career .
