Wanshan

The district of Wanshan ( 万 山区 , Wànshān Qū ) belongs to the prefecture-level city of Tongren in the Chinese province of Guizhou . In 1999 it had 61,510 inhabitants. The area is known for its large deposits of mercury and cinnabar .

The Wanshan Mercury Mine site ( Wanshan gongkuang yizhi ) has been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-186) since 2006 .
