The coat of arms of the municipality of Tünsdorf was the official emblem of Tünsdorf from 1961 until the municipality was dissolved on January 1, 1974.

history

The coat of arms was designed by local researcher Kurt Hoppstädter . The Saarland Ministry of the Interior approved the use of the coat of arms by resolution of July 12, 1961. At the same time, the municipality was given the right to use the colors green and white as the municipality's colors. With the incorporation of Tünsdorf to Mettlach on January 1, 1974, the coat of arms lost its official validity.

The green Dreiberg speaks for the scenic location of the community and the three settlement centers Ober-, Mittel- and Unter-Tünsdorf, the lecture cross for the fact that Tünsdorf is one of the oldest Christian places in the so-called Saargau with its St. Martinus Church.
