The Waratah Islands consist of two islands off the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They are located 1.5 km northwest of the Hannan Ice Shelf in Casey Bay .

Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 were used for their mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the Australian native Waratah ( Telopea truncata ) from the silver tree family .
