Wardges Ulubabjan

Wardges Aschoti Ulubabjan ( Armenian Վարդգես Աշոտի Ուլուբաբյան ; born November 8, 1968 in Stepanakert ) is a politician and member of parliament of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in Azerbaijan .

Life

In 1980 Ulubabjan finished middle school N 8. After that he worked for two years in the capacitor factory. From 1982 to 1984 he served in the Soviet Army and until 1986 he studied at the Institute for Development in the city of Penza in Russia. In 1986 he continued his studies at the Institute for Culture in Penza and in 1988 he graduated from the Faculty of Theater Directing. After returning to Stepanakert in 1988, he worked as an assistant director for the Radio and Television Committee of Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast .

Ulubabjan took an active part in the liberation struggles of Arzach . He then served in the political department of the Defense Army NKR as a staff officer . He took part in the founding work of the Gojamart television program. From 1995 to 1998 he was a director on the state radio and television committee. From 1988 he worked first as a TV operator in the administration of the Armenian Ministry of Defense for Information and Propaganda and then as a TV director in the Department of the Defense Army NKR for Information and Propaganda. In 2003 he was released and retired. From 2001 to 2007 he completed a correspondence course in journalism at the State University of Saint Petersburg . From 2007 to 2008 he worked for Nagorno Karabakh public television. In 2008 he was appointed head of the Archives Office.

Wardges Ulubabjan is married and has three children.

In the elections for the fifth National Assembly on May 23, 2010, he was elected as a member of the “Free Homeland” party list after proportional representation and is a member of the standing committee for culture, science and education for youth and sport.

Awards

Wardges Ulubabjan has been awarded the medal “Battle Cross” of the 2nd degree and the medal “Maternal gratitude to the brave sons of Arzach”.
