The Waring Bluff is a cliff in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It looms in the northern part of the Sequence Hills .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after James T. Waring, an air traffic controller at McMurdo Station in 1967 .
