Typical Wartenbergrad made of metal.

A Wartenbergrad (also a needle wheel according to Wartenberg or anesthesiometer according to Wartenberg ) is a medical instrument for the neurological examination of pain perception. The wheel, usually made of stainless steel, is systematically rolled over the skin with pointed pins arranged in a star shape. The Wartenberg needle wheel is named after the neurologist Robert Wartenberg and is rarely used for hygienic reasons.

Waiting mountain bikes are often used as toys in the BDSM area .

The copy wheel , which is constructed almost identically, is used to transfer lines through paper, e.g. B. with patterns.
