The Warwer Sand is a local recreation area in the Lower Saxony municipality of Stuhr . It is located on the edge of the southernmost part of Stuhrer Fahrhorst and is part of the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park .

It got its name from the shifting dunes from which it was formed and which were later dismantled and recultivated. For this purpose, the soil was partially filled in and trees were reforested. Some parts of the Warwer sand have been preserved in their original form.
