Warwick Rex (* 1966 ) was a Hanoverian gelding and a former German world class jumping horse. Warwick Rex was ridden by the German show jumper Alwin Schockemöhle .

A life-size bronze statue of the jumping horse has stood on Europaplatz in downtown Vechta since 1981 . Warwick Rex rider Alwin Schockemöhle lives in the district of Vechta in Mühlen . The statue was made by the Munich artist Heinrich Faltermeier and is intended to remind you that Vechta is a traditional center of German horse breeding and German equestrian sport. There is also such a statue in Bad Wörishofen in the city garden.
