Washfastness

The wash-fastness is a measure of how tightly a dye to a textile fiber adheres or tissue. Sometimes the dye is washed out. A well-known example is the denim dye indigo . The wash fastness indicates how often a dyed fabric can be washed without losing any noticeable color intensity. The determination of the wash fastness is a method of textile testing .
