Washing silk

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Washable silk or Washed natural silk , pongee or Habutai (rare, high quality) are substances made of natural silk mostly of Chinese origin that have been pre-washed industrially as a fabric or already finished garment. The look is similar to clothing that has already been worn with an irregular creased effect reminiscent of crash fabric.

Under certain circumstances, is a Sanding equipment added, which eventually fell seams , sleeves and trousers edges can be damaged. If this is wanted, the trade does not see it as a reason for complaint. A low weight of the washing floss can be a sign of a light adjustment, an unfavorable distribution of warp and weft threads with the result that it is less durable. Even properly executed seams are then only resistant to sliding to a limited extent , which means that warp or weft threads can change from their original position. The fabrics woven in this way should not be used for body-hugging, non-loose garments. Heavy fabrics, on the other hand, can be processed into outdoor clothing ( blousons ) with weatherproof impregnation .
