The hydropower plant Zeballos is 9 km northeast of the village of Zeballos in the northwest of the Canadian province of British Columbia owned island Vancouver Iceland .

The power plant has been in operation since 2009. The operator and owner of the plant is Zeballos Hydro Limited Partnership (ZLHLP) . Kruger Energy lists the plant in its portfolio. The power plant functions as a run-of-river power plant . The water from the approximately 340  m high Zeballos Lake ( ) is fed to the two power station buildings via a tunnel and a pressure pipe. The lake's natural outflow, Maraude Creek , has been blocked below the lake.

The main powerhouse ( ) is equipped with two horizontal Francis turbines (diameter: 770 mm). The fall height is 222.4 m. The expansion water volume for the two turbines is 5 m³ / s each. The main powerhouse's turbines regulate the water level of Zeballos Lake. Below the power station building, a 450 m long drainage channel leads to the lower reaches of the Maraude Creek , 600 m above its confluence with the Nomash River , a left tributary of the Zeballos River . The two associated generators deliver 10,000 kW at a speed of 720 rpm.

The Fish Flow Powerhouse ( ) has a horizontal Francis turbine (diameter: 540 mm). The fall height is 172.4 m. The turbine water volume is 1.88 m³ / s. The power station is 1.87 km above the mouth of Maraude Creek . The turbine is running continuously as planned and is intended to ensure that there is sufficient water in the course of the Maraude Creek below the power station building. The system's generator delivers 3400 kW at 900 rpm.

The total output of the system is 21,850 kW. The average annual energy production is 92.62 GWh. The facility is connected to BC Hydro's power grid via an 18.6 km power line .
