The building with the postal address Wasserstraße 42 is a listed building on Wasserstraße in Stralsund , on the corner of Klosterstraße and at the beginning of Frankendamm .
The house is part of a small series of seven buildings that border the courtyard of the Heilgeist Hospital to the west. Like the other six houses in this row of buildings, the plastered construction dates back to the 18th century.
The originally two-storey building was raised by one storey in the middle of the 19th century, and the facade was also restructured.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 781.
