Vasyl Semenyuk
Vasyl Semenjuk ( Ukrainian Василь Семенюк , Russian Василий Семенюк Wassili Semenjuk ; born August 2, 1949 in Dora near Yaremcha , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Archeparchy Ternopil-Sboriw .
Life
Wassyl Semenjuk was born in Dora. With twenty-five years ago, on 22 December 1974 Semenjuk was in the Eparchy of Ternopil for priests ordained. Ibid on February 10, 2004, at the age of fifty-four, he was initially appointed auxiliary bishop , and at the same time titular bishop of Castra Severiana . On April 3, 2004, the solemn episcopal ordination took place by Archbishop Volodymyr Sternjuk CSsR . At the age of fifty-seven, Semenyuk was appointed bishop of the Ternopil-Sboriv eparchy on October 19, 2006. With the increase of the eparchy to the archparchy in 2011, Semenyuk became archbishop.
