The Wat Chana Songkhram ("Temple of Victory in War", Thai วัด ชนะสงคราม ราชวรมหาวิหาร Wat Chana Songkhram Raja Woramahaviharn , also called Na Klang ) is a Buddhist temple complex ( Wat ) in the Phra Nakhon district of Bangkok . Wat Chana Songkhram is a royal second class temple .

Wat Chana Songkhram is located in the Phra Nakhon district of the capital Bangkok, across from Khaosan Street , between this and the Phra-Athit-Kai on Mae Nam Chao Phraya (Chao Phraya River).

Building history

Wat Chana Songkhram was built during the Ayutthaya period in the 18th century and renovated at the instigation of Phra Bawornrajchao Maha Sura Singhanat (1744-1803), the first Uparat (viceroy) of the Rattanakosin period . This was to commemorate the victory of his troops in the "Battle of the Three Armies".

Attractions

Inside the ubosot is the image of the Buddha named Phra Buddha Norasee Trilokachet Mahethisak Puchaniyachayantakhodom Boromsasada Anaworayan , which shows the Buddha in the posture of submission to the Mara.
