Wat Saranat Thammaram

Wat Saranat Thammaram ( Thai : วัด สาร นา รถ ธร ร มา ราม ) is a Buddhist temple complex ( Wat ) in Rayong Province ( Changwat ) , Thailand .

Wat Saranat Thammaram is located about 55 kilometers east of Rayong on the Sukhumvit trunk road to Klaeng , right at the local market. The temple was built in 1944/45 and contains the most important statue in the Ubosot, a replica of the highly revered Phra Buddha Tschinnarat from Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat in Phitsanulok . In the four corners of the temple there are further replicas of important Buddhist shrines, such as the Phra Pathom Chedi , Wat Phra That Phanom , the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya and Wat Borom That Chaiya .
