Watampone , "the capital of the bone" in the Bugis language (colloquially also known as bone), is a city in the Indonesian province of Sulawesi Selatan . It is the capital of the Bone administrative district . The city has a population of over 80,000. It is the birthplace of the Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, who has been in office from 2004 to 2009 and again since 2014 .
Watampone was the capital of the Empire of Bone .
