Watari Kakei ( Japanese 掛 井 亘 , Kakei Watari ) is a Japanese astronomer and asteroid explorer.

He is the discoverer or co-discoverer of currently three asteroids. He made most of his discoveries together with Takeshi Urata and Minoru Kizawa at the Nihondaira Observatory .
