Watts is an impact crater on the front of the moon on the eastern edge of Mare Tranquillitatis , east of the da Vinci crater . The rim of the crater is irregular and the interior is flooded with lava.
The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1973 after the American astronomer Chester Burleigh Watts .
