Weckelweiler is a district of the town of Kirchberg an der Jagst in the Schwäbisch Hall district in the northeast of the state of Baden-Württemberg . It is located on the Hohenlohe plain , about 22 kilometers northeast of Schwäbisch Hall and about 77 kilometers northeast of Stuttgart (both as the crow flies). The village is a residential district in the Kirchberg district of Lendsiedel .

The place is roughly in the middle of the plateau between the Jagst near Kirchberg in the south and the flatter valley cut of the Beimbach near Lenkerstetten, a left tributary of the Brettach . At a distance of less than 300 meters to the west of the village lies the approximately 1.5 km² battle forest , in which several burial mounds are scattered. On the other side of the village, less than 500 meters beyond the Bachäcker field, lies the Hagen forest , together with the Oberholz forest in the north, about 0.5 km² in size; There is also a burial mound field in Oberholz.
The so-called Weckelweiler Klingenbach, which is just over three kilometers long, flows into the Jagst from the right at Kirchberg and does not always carry water, so-called Weckelweiler Klingenbach emerges to the west in the middle of the Streitwald . It enters the hamlet as a ditch accompanying the field, traverses it and leaves it as a road ditch. He picks up a left branch half a kilometer southeast of it, which arises on the northwest edge of the Hagen . Only then does it form a noticeable valley.

In the village, the Kirchberg – Lenkerstetten / Beimbach road to the north and the connection between Gaggstatt in the south-east and Eichenau in the Jagsttal in the south-west cross the plateau . The nearest train station is in the northeast of Rot am See , on the Crailsheim – Königshofen railway line and is seven kilometers away. The next motorway junction, the Kirchberg junction of the A 6 , is six kilometers away in the south of the main town of Kirchberg. The bus routes 74, 78 and R64 connect Weckelweiler with Kirchberg an der Jagst, Rot am See, Crailsheim, Gerabronn, and Langenburg-Nesselbach.

Weckelweiler is known regionally for the anthroposophically oriented disabled facility , the social therapeutic communities Weckelweiler , which was founded in 1959 and has its headquarters in the northeast of the village.
