The Wedge Tombs of Baur are just a little west of the Poulnabrone Dolmen and east of Cahermacnaughten in the central Burren in County Clare in Ireland . In the Townland Baur ( Irish Bárr Ghleann Slaod ) there are two Wedge Tombs . Wedge Tombs ( German  "wedge tombs" ), formerly "wedge-shaped gallery grave" called, are double-walled, seamless, mostly unarticulated megalithic of the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .

Baur South

Baur Süd ( Lage ) is one of the wedge graves. It is somewhat atypical in that it was not only equipped with a double wall on the side, but also as a whole, i.e. also in the ceiling area. The outer chamber is about 2.5 m long and its capstones rest on those of the inner chamber. This megalithic complex is hidden under vegetation and difficult to find.

Baur North

Baur North ( location ) is about 500 m northeast of Baur South. It is a simple construction with dimensions similar to Baur Süd. This megalithic complex is also hidden under vegetation and difficult to find. It helps that it is close to a farm building.
