Willy Heretic
Willy Ketzer (* 3. February 1951 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German jazz - drummer and bandleader.
Life
Heretic first studied economics in Mainz, then music at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, majoring in drums.
From 1977 to 1980 he toured the USA and Europe with Klaus Doldingers Passport , with which he recorded several albums, including the (today's version of) the theme song for the television series Tatort . From 1980 to 2004 he was a drummer in the Paul Kuhn Orchestra and in the Paul Kuhn Trio until 2009 . In addition, he leads his own combos, show orchestras and a big band named after him, with whom he performed at Deutschland sucht den Superstar and accompanies the event "Immer wieder kölsche Lieder" in the Lanxess Arena every year .
He also played in the orchestras of Kurt Edelhagen , Max Greger , Hugo Strasser and Günter Noris and recorded with Harald Banter and Manfred Schoof ( Power Station ).
He toured several times with Helge Schneider . In his film 00 Schneider - In the tropics of the lizard (2013) he was seen in a supporting role.
