Weekender Records Germany was an independent label based in Berlin . Weekender Records UK is the independent sister label in London .

Weekender Records emerged from the Weekender Club in Innsbruck . The club owner Justin Barwick founded the label in 2006 to release the music of bands that perform in his club without a record deal.
Since 2007 music from Weekender Records Germany has been released in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . The list of releases partly overlaps with Weekender Records UK, but both labels acted independently of each other.
Weekender Records Germany was managed by Desiree Vach, who previously spent six years with the Berlin label Kitty Yo . Weekender Records was best known for releases from British indie rock , but also went beyond this style. Published artists include 1984 , Chikinki, and Eight Legs , among others .
At the beginning of 2009 Desiree Vach left Weekender Records Germany and founded the independent label Snowhite . Shortly thereafter, Weekender Records ceased operations.
