Weeks Falls
The Weeks Falls are waterfalls on the South Fork Snoqualmie River in King County , Washington state . You're just south of Exit 38 off Interstate 90 , about seven miles east of North Bend . The falls can be found at the end of the road that runs past Olallie State Park's ranger headquarters . From the unpaved parking lot there is paved access to a barrier-free viewpoint of the waterfall and a small area around the hydropower plant. There is also a 400 m long barrier-free teaching deposit.
It is a single cascade about 18 meters high and 9 meters wide.
At the Weeks Falls there is a small hydropower plant, which is operated by CHI West and has an output of 4.3 MW at peak times. The power plant is unusual in that it works without a dam. Instead, the water is diverted from the river above the falls and fed through an underground tunnel to the generator at the foot of the Weeks Falls.
